■ What I think about the 13th Day as a film :-(
Apparently, we're supposed to answer guide questions about it. We watched it for school and it was just so. . . Here are some of my actual answers for the stuff that I won't actually put on my paper since I'll probably get in trouble if I do that...
What struck most in the film?
The bad cinematography pierced my heart. And the fact that I couldn't quite grasp what sort of genre the film was trying to be in just sort of ruined it for me. Usually, I get touched by these religious movies but The 13th Day was just so... I feel so bad for saying it but it was just really bad. In my native language, di siya tumalab sa puso ko okay.
Did the film help you see suffering in a better light?
In more ways I can imagine. I can't stand looking at ugly cinematography for more than 15 minutes (That's the most I can take. Afterwards, I scatter my attention elsewhere.) Hindi lang naman at least ginawang colored or you know, they could have at least made it the pretty sort of monochrome but it wasn't. ;__;
I just read that they wanted to compete with the DaVinci code's theme and all but guh why. They could've hired an awesome person to do this story some justice. :-(
I love Mama Mary a lot and all but, this movie made me cry because it was just so... LABO ;__;
